Youth are out of school in Tanzania
Only 4% of girls from rural areas complete lower secondary school.
One in every two
African children of primary school age reach adolescence unable to read, write, or do basic math.
ASAP partners with motivated rural communities in Tanzania to comprehensively develop their school systems. Together, we expand classroom access, enhance education quality, and create safe havens for girls to pursue their studies, offering them the chance for a quality education from pre-primary through secondary levels.
Girls' Education
Locally led. All projects and programs are led by Tanzanians!
ASAP prides itself on being a majority-women led organization.
All schools are 100% locally owned & co-invested.
We measure success by evaluating enrollment and attendance, student-to-teacher ratios, student-to-faculty ratios, academic performance, teacher performance, completion and matriculation rates, literacy and numeracy, community participation, and more. On all fronts our partner schools are thriving!
